Congratulations to the NGCC U10 Boys soccer team, who claimed their Bonivital Soccer Club rec league championship on September 26th.
The boys earned a 4-1-1 record in playoffs against six other teams from south Winnipeg and Lorette, then rallied to upset Southdale 4-2 in the final. Coach Maria Fedorowich lauded the Knights' gritty play. "They really dug in and came together as a team, particularly after falling behind one-nothing early in the first half. I'm so proud of them."
Many of the boys formed the core of last year's team that won the U9 in-district championship.
